Contro-inchiesta/4 - Il ruolo della politica nei rifiuti
When you talk about the role of politics in the emergency waste in Campania, and the convenient use of organized crime to dilute the responsibility before the public, we must be extremely careful not to join, so prejudicial to the false syllogism that states: if the Camorra does business with the garbage and the garbage invades the city, then that is the garbage of the Camorra. Rather, it would be fair to say that this is the garbage that is tempting to gangs. Because, as shown by many surveys of the judiciary, the mafia took advantage of the crisis, not generating it. Paradoxically, the Camorra offers solutions with storage facilities, landfills and trucks for transportation. The all, of course, well hidden behind the company, registered with papers and bills above all suspicion. And when they are not, above all suspicion, a strong bribe helps helps to digest everything. To create the emergency, are always inefficiencies of politics and local government at all levels. As demonstrated by the fact, not quietly reported in the press village, which in 2009 had sixty Municipalities of Ontario (twenty of which are only in the province of Naples) defaulting on the front of the collection and disposal of waste. And this is a statistic that in 2010, will surely worsen.
D'altronde, che al Comune di Napoli – retto dall'ex ministro dell'Interno, Rosa Russo Iervolino – ci sia un inquietante livello di superficialità e di pressappochismo, nell'affrontare tematiche legate all'ambiente e alla health, demonstrated by the fact that between municipal administration and Asia, the company that deals in the city, the collection and street sweeping, has never been formalized in a contract of service or the document that puts in black and white, the obligations contractors and related penalties. If, for example, the City of Naples decided to contest any disruption to Asia, there would be no fine to be paid because the contract does not exist. There is only a draft that was never brought to the city council and voted. And this from a lot 'of years, at least since 2003. In practice, we are dealing with a company that operates in the waste sector, the third largest municipality in Italy more abusive or not.
It must have been an oversight? Well, we say yes. We give credit to those who are center right and center in Naples, he admits to not having given due weight to this inexplicable oversight. What to say, however, the case of Camigliano, a village of 2 thousand inhabitants in the province of Caserta, where the Town Council was dissolved, despite having reached 65 percent recycling? The only answer is the obtuseness and shortsightedness of the bureaucracy of politics, why punish a virtuous body capable of defending its territory, which seeks - and gets - the unanimous cooperation of citizenship and, more importantly, where can all the others, or almost bankrupt, means you have no ideas clear about how you administer a community. Camigliano was commissioner, because the mayor did not want to bring to the roles of the Province of Caserta Tarsu, the municipal tax on waste. And not because he knew he wanted them to deliver, well, that obey the law would be the first step towards the abyss. Moral of the story: along came the prefectural commissioners and the mayor was forced to move out. What a beautiful picture.

Dyed In The Wool - Dyed In The Wool
Rifiuti, la contro-inchiesta/3
Dear Editor,
in recent months, has rightly found space in local newspapers and Naples, in some cases, even the national press, the news opening cooperation with the justice of Gaetano Vassallo, a former environment minister of the Casalesi clan. This collaboration has enabled the initiation of major investigations against ecomafia Caserta and uncovered that the unclean worms in which every sort of wheeler-go hand in hand with local authorities and criminals to sully our territory. There is one particular, however, that unfortunately is not stressed enough about the criminal organizations that deal with waste. And that is the difficulties that the investigative bodies and the judiciary are faced with when they come across a very interesting investigative strand, either for lack of adequate legislation, for want of a substantial condition isolation from the other actors on stage (politics, business, high bureaucracy). Take the case of
Vassallo, for example. The white-collar clan has indicated the places where the cutthroat Caserta have spilled thousands of tonnes of waste, made the names of his accomplices, has denounced his ten brothers, guilty - like him - to have poisoned many acres of countryside, has brought up the former Secretary Nicola Cosentino in the business, indicated as a leader of the clique that, through policy and the Camorra, makes money with the garbage, said (and this is good to remember Roberto Saviano) as even mice die near the sites of illegal spills, raised the veil on the riches accumulated by the waste holding spa, something like forty million euro. All this said, Vassallo, in his interrogations between 2008 and 2009, raising a unanimous chorus of outrage and disbelief among the public locally and nationally. Vassallo possible that he knew all this? Possible that all this happening in Campania? Possible that no one has noticed first?
Yet, Gaetano Vassallo is not a new name for those involved in judicial investigations and not have been so even for those who, for at least twenty years, have left him free to graze up and down Caserta to sow death and disease.
know a lot about him. It was long overdue. In June 1992, Vassallo is arrested in an investigation on drug traffickers and arms. Talking about the Vassallo pm, at the time, it is a turncoat who accused him of having links with some sick mayors of Casertano, confirmed reports from some wiretaps to prove it on very good terms with local politicians. A year later, and we are in 1993, the maxi-inquiry Adelphi opened a gash on the business of illegal dumping. And who ends up right in law 4 thousand pages of information for police? Just Gaetano Vassallo, pointed out - even then - as a link between politics and organized crime. Three years later, Vassallo was sentenced to two years and seven months in prison, compared to a request seven-year advanced by the prosecutor. Obviously, the classroom out of court, the Minister of Environment Casalesi back in play, and it will take another fifteen years to be cornered, and he dismantled the infernal system set up behind the screen of the management A landfill in Cesa, a hinterland town of Caserta, where the same Vassallo was for a long time alderman.
What does this mean? Intuition that the investigation had been right, and long, and - perhaps, perhaps - could save the tormented Ontario (in) felix a decade passes and poisoning, and that it would not hurt to hear the appeal that the national anti-Mafia prosecutor, Piero Grasso, has rivolto al mondo della politica: prevedere il reato associativo ambientale. E - experience shows - that almost never run the Camorra in person as big a deal, on which too many have made personal fortunes still invisible.

How To Go From Mumbai To Velankanni
Rifiuti, la contro-inchiesta/2
Dear Editor,
the question of waste in Campania, and on this we can not agree with Roberto Saviano, is not an emergency, but - unfortunately - a condition of (a) normal, which has dragged in accordance with the common clichés, which draws on the same Saviano to give strength to his narrative, at least sixteen years since that law was enacted for a state of alarm.
In fact, without resorting to the belly of Naples Matilde evening or late nineteenth-century tales about Naples humiliated by cholera and dirt, enough to dwell on the few sentences below to understand how the problem of sanitation in our cities, is far from recent history. Flash nr1: "Failure to return the bags for garbage collection is causing considerable discomfort among citizens. Many residents are forced to throw garbage on the streets, wrapped in paper. And this is a grave danger to public health. This morning, some streets in the Chiaia district - the most famous and elegant the city - appeared smeared with heaps of garbage in every corner. "
Flash nr 2: "Tons of solid waste were dumped in the streets, after the abstention from work of employees all'autoparco Via Gianturco. Failure to exit the truck, last night, this morning has caused serious hardship to the inhabitants of the old town, those of the northern and eastern part of the city. A Secondigliano, Marianella at the heaps of waste has reached in some cases, the meters in height. The fleet of Via Gianturco has over 100 trucks that make the collection service over a large area [...] in the evening increased the hardships because - also on the Feast of Saint Anthony, patron saint of animals - has been set on fire a number of garbage containers on city streets and peripherals. The flames, which in some cases have reached a considerable height, caused danger. In a street in the suburb, the fire department have been thwarted in their work by groups of hooligans who have stoned, damaging them, some trucks. The police arrested some people, who then released. For the situation created in the city for the tons of solid waste on the roads in many telephoned to newspapers and other print media and television stations, asking, like the traffic, the intervention the prefect. "
And, finally, flash No. 3: "Even today the removal of waste in Naples has been slow due to the high number of vehicles, about two hundred, still for mechanical failures. Containers, placed in the streets of Naples, are still mostly full of junk. "
looks like the description of the city today, or a week ago. At most, it might seem like the description of the city sixteen years ago, when it exploded the garbage emergency in Naples. In fact, there are three excerpts from many articles, published by the Neapolitan daily, on 19 February 1981, January 17, 1982 and March 4, 1984. Guess, at least thirty years ago. Yesterday as Today, nothing has changed. So what does this mean? That the affair has ancient roots and deep waste, of which the Camorra is only one aspect deteriorating and certainly among the most dangerous. Campania
If we cover up of garbage and shame, before the whole world, it is because those who had to check, who should plan, those who had to manage, those who had to ensure the functionality of the mechanisms has not done so. For willful misconduct, or gross. Then came the Camorra. Then, organized crime has taken over, in the sinuous and insinuating sinful aspects of the bureaucracy and public administration that, with the Beast, fell to terms. But if it stands, clearly, the political responsibility of the Camorra thugs, then you do not go away. Or you could, at best, to confusion, though in good faith.
Sure, it's good to talk Saviano dell'ecomafia Caserta front of millions of viewers and the splendid reportage "la Repubblica and L'Espresso", but the fusion between historical truth and literary fascination and judicial, in a matter so delicate, with all the implications of public order and safety arising from the risk of generating imaginative atmosphere which have no grip with reality. I think, for example, when the writer cites - and does so with some frequency - the legend that would the carcass of a whale buried in the dump in Pianura, a suburb of Naples. The tone he uses Saviano are very impressive and seems to see this new Captain Ahab in a filthy dive of the port, contact Camorra and fixer so that they will go away that mountain of fat and rotting flesh, entangled in a fishing net who sway - rocked by the oil - off the Gulf of Naples. Why, one wonders at the end of the story, even in Naples whales end up in landfills? And if you end Moby Dick imagine what else hides the stomach of mother nature, in those areas ...
The case - in hindsight - is a bit 'less imaginative, but not the less dramatic as Saviano says: There really is a whale in the Pianura dump. It is not a legend or a story passed from mouth to mouth among the inhabitants of the neighborhood, as was done among the Indians of America. The whale - 7 meters long and weighing eight tons, run aground off the island of Ischia - is buried at the site because the operation license for the former city councilor of Health, Giuseppe Scalera. The municipal ordinance is July 17, 1989. And, at that time, this solution is the shared City, Region and Prefecture.
The question, then, is not: there is really a whale at the landfill? But, because there's a whale in the landfill?

How To Break Web Monitor
Rifiuti, contro-inchiesta/1
Dear Editor,
the last episode of the show "Come away with me" and, in particular, the long monologue by Roberto Saviano on the waste in Campania can be summarized according to this simple scheme: Naples is suffocating in the garbage because the landfill has been saturated by the clans, which have filled with trash in the North. In support of this thesis, which actually seems much more an axiom, Saviano rattles off ten investigations by the prosecution that, from 1993 to 2009, demonstrated the responsibility of the industrial North in the environmental crisis, every other month, raging in our latitudes. Investigations known to those who make my job, of which the newspapers have been dealing with time and they do not say anything new. Investigations that in some cases (see Cassiopeia, which began in 1999 and 2010 still stuck at the preliminary hearing) are still in progress, or - even - have been downgraded in the plant accusatory.
The narrative television Saviano is very similar to what Umberto Eco describes in his wonderful "The Cemetery of Prague: just take a little 'shady and mysterious characters and have them gathering in a dark place and this is a plot useful for any emergency requirement. The Conspiracy
described by Saviano is a triangle formed by Masons, entrepreneurs (possibly North) and the Camorra. Unfortunately, the story is not so simple. And, perhaps more than any of the information help you to complete that part of history that Saviano had no way to tell on Monday night.
It is true that large companies in the North have often used the Campania as garbage, but maybe - for the sake of truth and not to leave an alibi to the indecent ruling class that ruled over the past twenty years - would be worth remembering that there is also ecomafia another circuit that was created and developed entirely within the borders of Campania. Evidence? Here they are: 21 February 1996, police discovered that the area of \u200b\u200bAcerra were spilled tons of resins and other waste toxic from businesses in the province of Naples. On November 4, 2005, the police realize that in the countryside and the coastal agro-Aversa Domitian were buried hazardous waste from the treatment plants of Capri and the Sorrento peninsula, as well as sites of Salerno and Acerra. On 11 May 2006, the prosecutor in Benevento investigates 50 thousand tons of hazardous waste from the provinces of Avellino and Salerno, disposed in the countryside and rivers of Sannio. July 4 replicates of the same year, with a blitz of Noe police in Caserta, where four companies were hiding underground sludge of purification plants of Licola, Orta Atella, and Marcianise Mercato San Severino. And again on 11 September 2007 the judiciary runs into a traffic of waste material is inert substances and asbestos and bituminous products in the Naples, "hidden" in the yards of the Table In all these operations, the North has nothing to do. Why not talk about it? Even these people are criminals and they also helped to poison our land. Indeed, not only ours, because - again sifting through investigations of the last ten years - clearly another fact emerges, of which there was no mention to "Come away with me" from Campania are also lots dozens, hundreds of trucks loads of hazardous waste to be hidden in the bellies of other regions, near and far. Here's a bit ' examples: in Abruzzo, between 1992 and 1998, 34 people are reported to illegal and Napoletano waste from Caserta, in Puglia, on the contrary, in the blitz of May 13, 2002, suspects, there are two dozen. It's not all: 23 March 2006, the preliminary hearing judge in Milan sentenced eight people for illegal trafficking of waste from Campania and Puglia, with pit stops in Lombardy and Emilia Romagna. Also from Naples, is the investigation of the March 10, 2007 to say, the source of the toxic waste that were illegally sold and disposed of three companies of Brescia and Udine. And other 100 thousand tons of garbage from Campania are made to swallow the countryside of the Marches (inquiry "Web" of July 17, 2007, 21 suspects at large free). These are also news.
Another detail: in the north there are also illegal dumping of toxic and harmful waste. He says, in 1995, the second report on Legambiente ecomafie: pestilential buboes are found in Piedmont (Cirie, and Piossasco Tortona) and Lombardy (Dred and Lacchiarella).
say it's all the fault of the North in cahoots with the mafia does not help to understand the dimensions of the phenomenon, why then - finally - the various Bassolino and Iervolino (Bertolaso \u200b\u200bleft in this "meritorious" image, when he found himself alone in the 2007 to face a wave of garbage in Campania: "No one helped me, Bassolino and Iervolino had marched and I was only due interlocutori: il cardinale Sepe e la Procura”) sono autorizzati a sostenere di non aver avuto alcuna colpa, in tutta questa schifezza.
Forse, sarebbe il caso to remember that the prosecutor of Naples, Giovandomenico Lepore, 16 November, before the parliamentary committee of inquiry into the eco-mafia said, about the emergence of recent weeks: "In this case it is not the Camorra, is an inefficient cycle management of waste that has lasted twenty years. "
Perhaps it would be appropriate to name a few, and especially any surname.

How I Book Room In New Delhi Kalibari
E 'smile - bitter - the defeat what the mafia boss Antonio Iovine, shows off the exit of the police headquarters in Naples, surrounded by police and dozens of photographers and cameramen, one hour soon after capture, which occurred in a house of Casal di Principe, near Caserta. Iovine - nicknamed 'or no one, "the infant" because from a very young age for reasons unfathomable to the succession of a mafia "families" of the most feared criminal Italian landscape - has surrendered to investigators as a true chieftain, after he tried to escape from a balcony. Agents who surrounded him, confirmed their personal details and asked not want to waste time to show them the documents. "It's me, it is useless to ask me," he told police. With him ended up in handcuffs for aiding and also un incensurato, Marco Borrata, che ne avrebbe curato la latitanza, ospitandolo nella sua abitazione.
L'ultima sciabolata è stata inferta May 26, 2008, with a maxi-blitz that dismantled the network of port-orders of the boss, which was also involved his wife, Henrietta Avallone. In the home of Iovine, the investigators found furs, luxury furniture, watches and jewelry with a value that was not possible to seize it, however, each was accompanied by a greetings card to indicate their lawful 'origin'. They were gifts from friends and acquaintances to "'or no one."
On the mode of capture, has expressed the prosecutor's office, Giovandomenico Lepore, noting during a press conference at the coverage offered by locals Iovine, while the head of the squad, Vittorio Pisani, explained that much of the investigative work is based on stalking and eavesdropping and telephone. For the national anti-Mafia prosecutor, Piero Grasso, "Iovine's prestige has fallen and now the organization loses its credibility."
The news of the godfather, came on the day of controversy at a distance between Roberto Saviano and Interior Minister Maroni on the writer's statements about the relations between the Northern League and the 'Ndrangheta in transit "Come away with me," is also been greeted with unanimous political world by words of great appreciation for the work of law enforcement and the judiciary. For the holder of the Interior Ministry, it "is a beautiful day for the fight against the Mafia, "while the chairman of the Senate and the House have sought to dwell on its achievements in the fight against organized crime. "Again, this further suggests that the State's capture and that the institutions are united in the fight against crime," said Renato Schifani, and Gianfranco Fini said that "the fight against organized crime is a primary goal seek, without never let our guard down. "
The Keeper, Angelino Alfano, has instead announced its readiness, immediately, to sign the request for harsh prison regime against the head of the Camorra, "A further confirmation - added Minister of Justice - that the team wins and the State Anti-Mafia played beats the spoken. "

Tummy Tuck Patient Recommendations Thailand
Vita violenta del boss Paolo Di Lauro
The first chapter from my book "The empire of the Camorra - Life's violent boss Paolo Di Lauro," for release in autumn economic version for the types of Newton Compton
'Aniello, come down, I've got that stuff for you. "
"Okay, wait near the gate. But it sure is good stuff? ".
"Jewels, gold, diamonds ... is a bargain. Come on, I'm down here .... " It all starts
so. With one phone call to the telephone and a hail of gunfire. Aniello La Monica has a little more than forty killed when leaving the house. He is the boss of Secondigliano, is part of the new family, the cartel that is opposed to the 'army' of Raffaele Cutolo. But it is not the godfather of Octavian, which also would have every reason to send it to the cemetery. La Monica is the first casualty of a new criminal group that launched the climb to the top of the Camorra. Is assassinated by those he considered his children, betrayed by those whom he trusted more, because even a racketeer must trust someone. And La Monica had trusted the wrong people.
"Doctor, if I remember correctly, Monica was the first hit and then killed with pistols and Kalashnikovs. They told me that after giving him the first blow, all four went out of the car and began to shoot while he was still staggering. Not even gave him time to fall to the ground .... " Twenty years later, a repentant is telling what happened that day in Secondigliano, a chain of memories that would take him to reconstruct, in a soundproof room on the eighth floor of the public prosecutor of Naples, the fortunes and the mysteries Godfather of the most enigmatic of the Neapolitan underworld: Paolo Di Lauro.
"Who killed him and why," asked the magistrate, sedendogli next and holding out a pen and paper to stop the paper the images that the statement would not be able, after so long, to bring to the surface.
"Doctor, listen to me, that history is long. Call your sergeant and tell him to bring me a nice coffee, we talk a lot. Today and tomorrow and tomorrow as well. Put a new tape recorder and listen to what I say because I do not know if I will be able to repeat it. "
The judge stood up and walked towards the door. He glanced down the corridor onto which the offices of District Anti-Mafia Directorate and made sure that the door was firmly closed. Then he sat down again. He called an agent to verbalize police he trusted. This inserts the sheet into the typewriter and electronic - with the two indices - began to beat wildly, from dictation, the original form of the minutes of collaboration: "Immediately after my arrest, following the order issued by this Office, after taking cognizance the high level of knowledge to which the investigating bodies had arrived, I found the necessary determination to break definitively with the criminal world in which they lived since the early eighties. "
begins the story.
*** "Have you seen that says the paper today?" Asked the chief inspector of the Commissioner of Secondigliano his manager, supporting the full copy of the Morning on the desk of papers and half-empty cigarette packets. Those were the days of fear in Naples, the days of homicidal rage battery fire of the NCO and convictions of the people's court of the Red Brigades against judges and politicians.
"I read this morning, three days of mourning for the death of the neighborhood godfather who hated drugs. Good impression that we do. By the way, to what extent are the investigations? The prosecutor did know something? "
" They say it is an internal settling of scores, but on the Monica proceeds squad. Everything as usual, no one has seen. Nobody has noticed anything. We keep our eyes open, because here I the impression that it happens a third world war. "
were just after frantic weeks of the seizure of the Regional Ciro Cirillo, Democrat of funds from the cashier after the earthquake, released through the mediation of Cutolo and to pay a rich ransom to terrorists, and the climate had worsened, if possible with the publication of the false document on the Unit of the Ministry of Interior reported that the terms of negotiation between state and mafia for the release of political dc. False document in form, but very true in substance.
"Now you also buy the Communist papers? But you do not votavi right ... ", joked the inspector when he pulled his colleague fuori da un cassetto dell’armadietto la copia del quotidiano.
In effetti, at that time considered the largest organized crime neighborhoods of the city a bit outside the city of Naples' as a nursery for juvenile offenders to draw from in case of necessity for the dirty work. I had no pedigree secondiglianesi criminal, were a bit 'like the Corleone of Toto Riina and Bernardo Provenzano, "viddani" country people. Ruthless, but with the brain of a chicken.
"What we have today?" The Inspector spoke again, taking the copy from the desk of the Morning.
"Look at yourself, it's carnage. By the way, tomorrow we're going to ask some questions around the fact that La Monica, we try to understand, "snapped the manager, putting in place a new copy of the Unit.
In those same hours, via Cupa Arch, a few hundred meters as the crow flies from the garrison of police, a meeting was convened. One of the guests, Domenico Silvestri, called "Mimi 'a shameless," was about to take place at the head, when a hand clung to his arm and shook it. Raffaele was Prestieri, who reminded him that the place was busy.
"You have to sit you?" Said Silvestri surprised.
"No, but it is better that you get here, beside me. There, no, "said Prestieri move the chair on the long side of the table.
The front door of the hall opened slowly. The landlord came in and sat down at the place of honor. He lit a cigarette and called the maid, who soon brought him a bottle of Veuve Cliquot champagne and a handful of crystal glasses. Downstairs in the cottage, there was a beautiful store with many fine wines and spirits, some of which facts come directly from Paris. The pressure of the bubbles pushed out the cork that ended against the curtains and bounced to the ground from under the table.
"Peace of soul Aniello La Monica. We hope to be there to assist us and help us, "they said in chorus. Then all toasted his eyes.
*** The usual round of patrol, the usual checks. Via Baku, the Seven Palaces, the public garden: the wheel of the police station that evening progressed with the second gear and the flashing light that projects a beam of blue light on the flower beds and on the shutters of closed shops.
"Look at that guy there, it's running. He threw a plastic bag under the car. Pursue pick it up and then cried suddenly turn the head of the policeman at the wheel, which turned on the siren and inserted the third.
now there were similar scenes of dozens every day in every corner of the ward; Secondigliano and Scampia, if you do not know the roads are worse than the mazes. Crossings, shortcuts, hidden passages from an alley to another poles and then installed anywhere, as if to draw a map known only to a few, agile runners.
The chase lasted no more than a few seconds, because the young man, convinced he found open, had crashed into an iron door which closed the secondary entrance of a condominium. His race was over there with a sore shoulder and a pair of handcuffs on his wrists.
The wheel was returned to police with the new "guest" on board at the end of turn.
"What's your name?" Asked the inspector, sitting at his desk in his office, where the relationship of service expected only his signature.
"What interests you? Call the lawyer, who did not speak with you more. Here are the numbers, "said the boy boldly. He was about twenty-five. Body slender, with a padded jacket, a green polo with a crocodile, and great jeans. In his pocket they found five doses of heroin wrapped in aluminum foil and two hundred thousand lire banknotes of small denominations. It was the third stop of the day. Equal to the second and first.
agents called the office indicated by the youth, who sent an aide in the police station to attend to the formalities of the appointment. The boy went back into his pocket the piece of crumpled paper on which someone had written the phone number of criminal and went, under guard, Poggioreale. Laughing.
"Have you noticed that everyone calls the same lawyers?" Asked the head of the man who the police had arrested the drug dealer.
"Yes, and that means, do you?" The agent said, rummaging in the bag that had recovered under the car. Inside were more money, about fifty thousand pounds, a couple of lighters and straws, as those used for drink cans. It was necessary to update the report of service.
"It means that we encounter something or someone much bigger than we realize. We keep our eyes open, "closed the discussion the manager.
Between 1982 and 1984 is the transformation that will mark forever the fate of Secondigliano and Scampia: earthquakes, hundreds of families who had lost their roof due to the earthquake, are crammed into sails, hives dormitory designed by architect Franz Di Salvo with the intention of encouraging integration between the families but instead they become an incubator of lawlessness and savage murder. The utopian dream of a neighborhood model, on a human scale, with large parks and green spaces to divide the inhabited areas, the urban layout is actually perfect for organized crime.
Immediately after the killing of La Monica, the seismograph of public order in Secondigliano had subito un’impennata: erano aumentati scippi, rapine e casi di estorsione ai negozianti.
Accanto alle bancarelle con le stecche di Marlboro e di Merit in bella mostra, a little farther on, a few tens of meters, the first drug dealers began to appear, ready to supply heroin and marijuana young people looking for thrills. And they appeared well lookouts and guards.
The feud between the New and Raffaele Cutolo family had led to the destruction of a criminal feudal model, unable to project themselves into the national and international level, still confined within the narrow fences of extortion and arms trafficking. A model that would soon be replaced by a new organization structure and purpose, fluid, ready to creep along the slits on the socio-economic dynamics and distort the legal mechanisms to address. But then no one
noticed, because that was the period of war and not the business. You just need to eliminate the enemy can inflict more harm. Not only prevent him to take up arms, but destroy him.
"But those were different times, doctor. Every day a Cutolo killed one of ours and we will respond with two of them. Aniello La Monica, I do not know why, but I had it to death with cutoliani. If he could throw an atomic bomb on Octavian, he would. Every morning, we met outside the bar and told us: "Guys, remember to hit the enemy wherever you are. We must not allow time to breathe. " He even called a clothing store, near his home, with the name of his favorite gun: Python. La Monica was just like a snake. A python, in fact. It was just afraid to look at. " The regret he had not stopped a moment to revisit his past with the criminal mind, the beginnings of the clan, to outline the figure of those with whom he grew up and with whom he had known the prison.
The magistrate listened quietly and occasionally wrote down a date, a name sull'agendina Moleskine that he had in his pocket. "But as a field La Monica? What were your sources of income, he managed the drug trafficking? "The employee said, interrupting him just enough time to change the side box.
"Camp like everyone else, at that time. It was the smuggling of cigarettes with Michele Zaza, which was close friend, and Fiore D'Avino, one of Nola seems to me. It was not a bad person, he was a godfather, old-fashioned way: he never turned back anyone who wanted to work for him. Shortly before his death, the salary paid to eighty families, including mine. It was he who invented the canvassing sheets for wedding outfits, entrusting it to the network magliari Secondigliano that left and came to Germany and France. With this system, a lot of money was clean. But even that idea's been stolen, in addition to the command. The drug did not want its territory, although he was aware that the white powder would lose the skin, before or later. On this point, very often clashed with others in the group of Paolo Di Lauro. "
The counter began to spin, and the penitent had to make an effort of memory to resume the thread where it left off before the interruption. But before continuing to talk about the origins of the Di Lauro clan and a Secondigliano underworld in the eighties, thought it well to enrich his confessions with a story that few knew.
"Let me tell you something, Doctor," he continued, after drinking all in one gulp the coffee that had brought him. She looked into his eyes and smiled the magistrate of a bitter smile. "But you have to take my word, because some things that I tell you I can not try. "
"Tell me, I'm listening," said the magistrate, taking advantage to score another couple of lines of notes sull'agendina.
"I know that one day Di Lauro said close to one of Giuliano, William seems to me if he wanted to play poker?".
"And what is the problem, what's strange?"
"The opening of the plate, so far as you know?". And he began to wait for the answer, he knew, could never be the right one.
"No," replied the puzzled pm.
"Two billion dollars. In cash. " It was with the satisfied air to wait for the sneer of disbelief on his face interlocutor, as we expect those who share one another's confidence, which otherwise would have always been denied.
"These things I have no use for the job," snapped the judge, "and then into the underworld are often exaggerated in tales and a grain of sand becomes an avalanche. We continue with the interrogation. "
"Two billion in cash," repeated the repentant, as if the appeal of the judge there had ever been, "two billion contained in a red canvas bag. He put on the table and said to Julian: "If you really want to play, made a game with me ...." However, I understand that these things do not interest you, but are important to me. Where were we? Ah, yes ... "
already had passed quite a few 'weeks since the murder of La Monica, when a message arrived from Secondigliano Vallesana Poggio, sealing land of Speech, one of Campania's most powerful underworld families, partners in business with the mafia in Palermo.
"Paul, the Marano asked us if we can visit them," said Mimi Smith with a hint of satisfaction, because it was the signal that the big tour was starting to become interested in them. "We must talk about something important, very important ...."
"Okay, organize a car and we go there," she said Di Lauro, lighting another cigarette, collapsed on the couch.
"How shall we organize, we call those?"
"I do not want anyone armed, of course. Let's go I, you, Rosario, and Raffaele Enricuccio. And a support machine. "
"Okay." Smith left the room on the ground floor of the villa in Via Cupa Arch and began contacting others. It took him just because I find the intersection with Corso Secondigliano to chatter. They were all childhood friends of Di Lauro, had grown up with him and he had got rid dell'ingombrante presence of La Monica.
Just heard of the meeting, back in the car and headed home the boss. Just emerged from the gate dopo una Lancia Delta integrale e una Mercedes, dove sedeva – sul lato posteriore destro – il padrino. L’altra macchina stava davanti a fare strada. La droga la compravano attraverso i trafficanti del rione Traiano e di Ercolano – the double dealing of the most important of Naples - and resold at a higher price in the neighborhood streets, making money a few percent.
The two cars carrying Di Lauro and others take the dirt track, which opened on the right of the main street. They walked nearly a mile before arriving at a large gate, where - waiting for them - were the sentinels of the boss.
"Have you solved that problem, eh?" Said the head of ten Marano, meeting guests. The "problem" was referring to was Aniello La Monica. "Yes, fortunately," said one of them summarily. They parked the car nearby the entrance and walked.
"Don Lorenzo, we did as soon as possible," he announced Raffaele Abbinante, kissing both cheeks just entered the villa of the boss. Matching was born in Marano and had just started working in the crime family Cloud, with whom - in time - had maintained close relations.
"We need to talk about important things, follow me," replied the old godfather, through a corridor on which stands the nineteenth century Neapolitan paintings. One in particular attracted the attention of Paolo Di Lauro, who stopped to watch. "I also like the paintings," he added, referring back to.
The delegation of the clan of Secondigliano and Don Lorenzo Speech came from the back of the house, surrounded by countryside, and goes on to a lane that led to a farm. There to sit around a table to discuss. In the past must have been a stable, because there were still watering.
"Cigarette smuggling is the past," said the old Mafia. "That world is no longer ours. We have to upgrade. But in a big way. And I know how. " Paolo Di Lauro
watched in silence punctuated each word from the mouth lined the ravages of time. Listen and reflect, because the old boss was about to reveal the key to becoming the new masters of the city. They ate a little 'bread cheese and baked in a wood, kept in a storeroom nearby. A meal Mafia, such as those that were consumed in some remote farm in the heart of Sicily, Corleone or Bagheria.
"And this is the deal, but I expect one thing," said the chief Marano, looking straight in the face of each of his interlocutors.
"On our loyalty we swear by the blood," said Di Lauro. The others stood in silence. And nodded. "Don Lorenzo, tell us what to do, we will."
"That is what I hear. See you next week, I'll get me the 'embassy' and we organize ourselves. " The session was closed immediately. The group left the farm and walked along the road cut in half the manor of Speech, while the star of clan - hidden somewhere in the bushes or next to the rocks - they hurled boos each other to report the passing of the godfather. Di Lauro, and Cloud is greeted with a kiss on both cheeks. The old godfather patted on the shoulder and reminded him the next appointment.
"That's a road that will" let go Don Lorenzo with his "Consigliori" as soon as the guests were gone. 'E' smart, he listened to what I said without batting an eyelid. It is serious, I like it. "
Marano è come Corleone, come Palermo. È la Sicilia a Napoli. Con those are not jokes, they are dangerous. I remember even who tried to kill the commander of the station Marano, who was injured, because he was starting to bother too much with his questions in turn. But this is nothing, you know there are shooting ranges hidden in the mountains to train the killer? A Marano, long ago, it was also what killed the doctor Falcone, his name, Brusca .... " The repentant took up the thread of memories, trying to put as much information as possible in that report.
"Giovanni Brusca, the chief of the military wing of the Corleone ..." added the judge, who knew the brutal methods of concealment of the bodies charged by the gang of Poggio Vallesana and, for a time, long ago, had also investigated the Cloud. Then he had to leave because his investigation had been merged with the killing of the journalist of "Morning," Giancarlo Siani. He remembered every detail of the investigation into the murder of the young reporter, the minutes of questioning, each step in the intricate story, which seemed never to end many were having to accommodate the plugs. In particular, he had impressed the opening sentence of the indictment the prosecutor Armando D'Alterio in the first trial, which read: "Poggio Vallesana is the kingdom of evil, the mood of pregnant bodies dissolti nell’acido».
Il gruppo di Poggio Vallesana, infatti, è stato al centro delle inchieste di Giovanni Falcone e di Paolo Borsellino per i suoi contatti con Totò Riina, Michele Greco e Leoluca Bagarella: in pratica, dicono investigations, Lorenzo Cloud was the only non-Sicilian seats in the Regional Commission of Cosa Nostra, like the likes of Stephen Bontade boss, Luciano Liggio, Gaetano Badalamenti and Salvatore Inzerillo. Marano I trafficked in contraband cigarettes with Cosa Nostra, in the late seventies, but not only their great criminal intelligence was the ability to launder money by investing in companies "clean" to enter the legal market, especially in field of housing and wholesale. Their business empire has grown enormously over the years to represent a serious threat to the first and Cutolo Bardellino Alfieri and then, with who have engaged in bloody battles.
"Why, Doctor, you have to put something in his head. The clan from Marano was organized as a mafia gang. Have you ever seen the Godfather, the movie? Do you remember what he was always alongside Marlon Brando, the lawyer? There, that was the "Consigliori. In America was a graduate, was a lawyer and was an educated person. A Marano, perhaps, the "Consigliori" I did not have a degree, but had a lot of the same. The Cloud were feared because they behaved like gangsters, in addition to friendships between the Mafia. But you've imagined the gutter of half a racketeer who becomes a cocaine and holding the Consigliori? It is not credible, because he lacks what it takes. A Vallesana Poggio, however, there was great respect for the role, just as in Palermo, Catania and Trapani. And the head of the Speech-dozen well served by "Consigliori". " By now he had not regretted the need to mark on paper the important parts of his memories and those on which it would have to go back to add some details useful to the investigation. His memory was of iron, not escaped him a snapshot of those years wrapped in the mists of time. And told with great interest, as would those who try again adrenaline for what he has been lucky enough to see with his own eyes.
"And what was his role, the role of this head-ten, I mean. What was he doing? "Inquired the magistrate, intrigued by the parallel with" The Godfather "by Francis Ford Coppola, his favorite movie.
"He was the link between the boss and affiliates. It gave the advice to the sponsor on how to behave in certain situations. When it was necessary to wage war and when not to, invest in what, things like that. And those suggestions were listened to much, "insisted the repentant.
was almost evening now. Parking authorizing a management center was slowly emptying out. The prosecutor went to the window and scanned the horizon from orange colored sunset. The questioning went on for some time now: there was still time one last question, then the associate justice would be back in prison.
"But now tell me something, why they decided to eliminate the Monica? I have to explain point by point, "the judge began to speak," then pause and resume tomorrow morning because I am involved in hearing. "
"Let me explain with a little 'calm. I only listen to you ... "said the penitent, asking for a glass of water. "We just have to go back a few months."
"Did you get the 'embassy"? Tonight we should see at the home of Paul. We must talk about something very important, "said Paul Micic Raffaele Abbinante. They were standing at the crossroads of Secondigliano, near a bar.
"I know of that we must speak. Monica is stealing from the common fund, is taking the money from the smuggling that goes Zaza and is sending them to prison, "replied the other, intent to see if the police arrived. They were not armed, but two affected road closures still attract attention.
"And you believe it? Not me, "replied Micic.
"Paul has confirmed to me the other day. He did the accounts and is not found. "
"Mimi Smith And do you think?".
"Nothing that has to think: what Paul says is law for him. And he told me personally: "If Paul did the accounts, he was not wrong. These are the accounts that have been wrong. Aniello And they're wrong on purpose. " By the way, now I'm going to take over the Vanella. See you later .... "
After the conversation, Raffaele Abbinante climbed in the car and started the meeting with Paolo Di Lauro. He did not know that just half an hour before, Aniello La Monica had decreed their death, by now convinced that there was more room for negotiation with that group of young people hungry for money and power, who wanted at all costs to force him to flood drug and its territories. Him, this would never have allowed. A Secondigliano, until he had breath, would only controlled, and only him.
"This afternoon will be set via Cupa Arch. Me removing them from the middle, are becoming every day more and more dangerous. This is the car's license plate number matching and model. Now move, "ordered the godfather, entrenched in his apartment. The killers - two young Caserta - he had been reassured about shipping and received the money, had climbed into the saddle. The hunt was on. Henduro on a motorcycle, the gunmen had begun to patrol the avenue that runs along, parallel, via Cupa Arch. How close to the sharks that circle the prey in ever smaller spirals, so the two killers, responsible demolish the old godfather of the traitors, approached the victims. Where they passed the car traveled from afar Abbinante and Di Lauro. The recognized and followed the tracks from below the house of La Monica, and back again. After the shooting, the driver gave him a mouthful of fuel to the engine of Henduro, because the roar of pistons covered the sound of gunshots. But something went wrong. Matching is realized just in time of the attack, he glanced in the rearview mirror and took a shortcut. The killers sped up and began to shoot in the street like mad. At that time, via Cupa Arc was almost deserted by luck. The car skidded, but Abbinante managed to hold the steering wheel and escape to during Secondigliano, where he and Laura would have felt safe among the people. The sound of explosions had caught a wheel on patrol in the area, which turned on the siren and reached the place of the attack. Too late. The killers had fled, but the bullets, however, had reached the cockpit.
The sun had set and the empty parking lot. The magistrate ordered the police to suspend the verbalization and arrange the tapes in the safe. They would continue the next day.
"were saved by a miracle. Di Lauro was unharmed. Matching, however, had to be admitted to Cardarelli. He had been wounded, "cut corto il pentito, stanco.
C’era scritto, a caratteri cubitali, “Mattanza a Secondigliano”. Tre morti in un giorno: una passante, only thanks to luck, it had been involved in the shooting. The employee
make eye of the magistrate and said: "With Paolo Di Lauro such a thing would never have happened." And shook his head as if to mourn the good old days. The magistrate
arranged everything and opened again the Moleskine Notebook. Turned the last page, on which he had written down his thoughts, and motioned to the policeman started. "And then what happened after the shooting?" He asked, while the counter on the recorder again on a slow lap.
"That the appointment of that night he jumped, of course," said the associate justice, who was pinned on sheet of paper where the return address. "But nobody had the courage to accuse the other of stalking or not the matter of missing money. Everyone pretended, for its part, and proved friend to everyone. La Monica was convinced that the next time would be better and that the killer would not aim wrong, Di Lauro knew that the next time there would have been La Monica. Now one of them was too much to Secondigliano.
"But actually La Monica was stealing from the kitty?"
"Well, this I do not know. They said they will not send money to inmates with money orders. And this was a task of Paul, all the money went to him, so only he can confirm or deny. I can tell you what I think, Doctor, I am convinced that he was more afraid to kill Monica that the desire for power. La Monica was sospettosissimo and feared more than any other right Di Lauro, because he was the smartest among us. Di Lauro had understood and perhaps acted before it ended him in the ground. It was a game of speed. "
"Why La Monica Di Lauro feared?", The judge became curious.
"You know what they say: the courageous stand the sly and cunning fear of violence. Paul La Monica was what I wanted to be: cold, calculating, cunning and capable of keeping out of trouble. Di Lauro have never caught with a gun, did not run armed. Did not participate in fights, was not a troublemaker. Always polite, always with a cigarette in his hands. La Monica Silvestri knew that Mimi, when angry, he was unstoppable. Di Lauro is not angry ever, but it was much more dangerous, because they fly under water and also the story of the missing money could be his invention. Because he was aware that only by focusing on the money could persuade other members to kill La Monica, or - alternatively - not revenge. "
"I understand, we resume the story."
The day after the failed attempt, Di Lauro summoned his most trusted friends and sent an 'embassy' to the cloud. Matching was not there, because he was still in hospital. A bullet had pierced his shoulder and needed at least a week off. The message came back from Marano directly in the evening. Di Lauro, which was awaiting approval by the Speech, to kill Monica, a necessary precaution because of ties with the old boss Michele Zaza, and through these, with the Gambino family in New York.
were all in the Villa Di Lauro, in Arc Cupa. He was now in place a feud. And were aware of this. Mimi Smith was the most determined. "Then everything is ready, we just have to decide who is with me," began to speak at the beginning of the meeting.
"But believe that it is dangerous? And then mica Aniello will be stupid enough to fall into the trap? There will certainly be a bodyguard with him, "interjected Prestieri Raffaele, at that time most of the others tried to remain calm and understand what could be the alternatives to blood and bullets.
"Yes, there will be Enzo," said Di Lauro. "But I do not even care. Yeah I bought. Rosario, tomorrow morning, a person waiting for you behind the Monterosa to surrender their weapons. And now let's think more and drink, "cut short the conversation, the young godfather.
The next morning, the focus group composed of Paolo Di Lauro, Domenico Silvestri, Raffaele Raffaele Abbinante Prestieri and entered nell’auto e si nascose a poche decine di metri dall’abitazione di La Monica. I soldi li anticipò Di Lauro.
«Stai tranquillo, è tutto a posto».
Dopo due rampe di scale, La Monica era sul ciglio of the road. Shouted the name of the young man who had tried the intercom, but there was no trace. Took a few steps in the middle of the road, turning his back on the street where the car came out at breakneck speed with the killer on board. La Monica was just in time to become aware of that scoured turned to his bodyguard. But Enzo, now behind the gate was closed to observe the scene with the gun in his hand.
a tremendous impact it overwhelmed while trying to get back on the sidewalks. The nose of the car unconscious, but La Monica did not fall. He stood stunned, walking like walking drunks. A zigzag. He moved from right to left, cursing the name of the bodyguard. The command came from the car e finì la missione.
He had his arm outstretched towards the gate of the house, like one last - desperate - attempt to get to safety.
"I am convinced that the death of La Monica is functional to a project, because for some 'time I sensed that something was changing in the air. Missing are the stalls of the smugglers. Skip to Secondigliano course, there is not any more around. Now, in your opinion, what will all these people? ", Wondered aloud, as he walked along the sidewalk on which he lay, supine, the lifeless body of the old godfather.
'll find another activity, it is logical, "said an official who came from Sicily and was accustomed to reason with empathy in offenders who hunted. The officer was taken if the below because they recognized in him, and realized how much small change. The two police officers knew that the execution of a chieftain may mark the end but the beginning of an underworld organization. And now watching the harrowing scene with a great many doubts and fear in my heart. "The question is what will the other activity ... They are no longer even making extortion. Retailers are terrified. They do not know who to turn to. They are afraid that something might happen. Two days ago a reporter asked me if I was in anticipation of any release. He wanted to know if, finally, someone came back to ask for protection money. Why, until now, nobody is moving, "he concluded thought the younger, starting to collect information for the report sull'agguato service.
On May 1 of 1982, in this way Cupa Vicinale Arc, in Secondigliano, staff of the police station of Secondigliano, speaking after an anonymous phone call, he found the lifeless body of La Monica Aniello , acts in general, drew many rounds of deadly gunshot fired by unknown assailants. The La Monica, affected by smuggling, crimes against persons and property, harbor and illegal possession of a firearm, already indicted for the crime of association for conspiracy and murder, was considered the head-area Camorra Secondigliano behalf of the organization known as the "New Family", part of the known affected Michele Zaza, Antonio Bardellino Speech and Lorenzo.
could not trace any witnesses or information which is confidential, because none of the residents was present in the street at the time of the attack. E 'murderess is likely that the commando reached the place in a car, given the discovery of some stripes on the asphalt caused by a sudden stop. A fire were several firearms, at least three different sizes.
Moments later came the head of the squad, Antonio Ammann, the brave police officer who was investigating the kidnapping and Cyril on the relationship between mafia and politics. He read the report of the service and stopped to observe the scene of the crime: he noticed that Monica was not armed and that there were their men of trust around. This lack the very curious, because for a clan affiliated with a duty to watch over the corpse fell under the lead of the boss enemy. He picked up a few more 'material, useful for the investigation, and ordered to search the home of La Monica. Then, he returned to ufficio.Il quaestor of the time had a literary name, almost epic, but the lack of familiarity with the facts of the Camorra: Walter Scott Locchi felt the ground crumble under their feet every time the team's mobile telephone to warn of a Murder "important." What La Monica, as well as being important was also "anomalous". A double concern for the police chief Neapolitan namesake creator of the Scottish writer of Ivanhoe, a knight and without fear.

What Does A Full Licence Look Like
La storia di Cesare "Paciotti" Pagano
said "Paciotti" for his unbridled passion for shoes, particularly those produced by its namesake, Cesar Pagano, 42, the head of the clan of the 'breakaway' arrested this morning by police in Naples after a fugitive lasted about a year, was hiding in a villa in the company of his grandson, nicknamed "Angel", and generator. At the time of arrest, three did not resist.
included in the list of 30 most wanted dangerous for Italy, Cesare Pagano had taken the absolute leadership of the clan after the arrest, in 2009, brother, Raffaele Amato, been arrested in the investigation that led to C3 prison sixty members of the Amato-Pagano. Until then, Caesar and Raffaele had driven along the "splinter" after the victory in the so-called "feud Scampia" against the Di Lauro clan that, between 2004 and 2005, caused about seventy killed. But who was really
Cesar Pagano? We spoke with a writer-journalist, Simon di Meo, author of several Publications on this very bloody war, including "feud racket" and "The empire of the Camorra - Life's violent boss Paolo Di Lauro, and the next exit, between September and October of his book" Naples crime "co-written with Joseph Iannini, detective investigating a group of police in Naples.
Pagano had always played the role of "foreign minister" of the clan - said Meo. It was, in fact, the liaison officer between all the gangs of Naples and its province, as well as the guarantor of the non-aggression pact. Him has always known very little, so much so that until now was clean record. From his old boss, Paolo Di Lauro, had inherited the mania for privacy. From the evidence of any remorse know his obsession with bugs, so that was his habit to search any of its affiliates Camorra would meet him. Every time a car had to climb up, made her first reclaimed by the technicians of the clan. He had come to spend € 250 thousand in use of equipment such as German and French secret services
What was your main activity?
Pagano held the ranks of the entire traffic of cocaine from Spain. A deal that guaranteed income to afford those in the summer of 2006, after the sale of a consignment of drugs on the square Neapolitan, to pay its affiliates a bonus amounting to € 300 thousand
As he began his ascent?
Pagano was the right arm of the boss Paolo Di Lauro hiding until the beginning of the same Di Lauro in 2002. At that point, the power passed into the hands of children who came into conflict with the former shareholders of the father who was accused of having received bribes on a load of drugs from Spain. Forced to emigrate, they took refuge in Madrid and Barcelona and from here they decided to wage war the old organization.
who won a war with blows of public executions in the streets, in bars and homes. What were the "conditions of peace" imposed by the splinter? Mainly three
: ban on leaving the ward Di Lauro Flower Scampia, prohibition of supply of the various drug gangs towns, restitution of confiscated property to their various nominee then moved to splinter
And in fact, today, that do monarchs deposed, Di Lauro?
I Di Lauro now live in confined District Flower Scampia, the so-called "Third World" because of the squalor dominant. But while this area, which still remains the largest square in Europe shop, has remained firmly in their hands, all the other 25 throughout the towns bordering Scampia and Secondigliano, have come under the control of the "splitters" which are thus practically to manage the entire drug trafficking. Children of Paolo Di Lauro, Cosimo, Nunzio, Ciro, Vincenzo and Salvatore were all arrested and sentenced, for various reasons, by association the Camorra, murder and international drug trafficking. However, it remains at liberty Marco, 30, fugitive from justice and repentance as indicated by the most similar to his father, the most cunning and capable person who, at the time, he took over the management of the clan in the "Third World" So there
the possibility of a resumption of the broader review by the Di Lauro, or not?
It is currently unlikely. The Di Lauro are almost extinct. The vast majority has been forced to emigrate or to go with the "splitters"
The excessive power of the "splitters" suggests that even war carried out against them by the state is doomed to failure ...
Not at all. The splitters have already tasted the brutal repression of the armed forces, who now is very strong. Do not forget that the conclusion of C3 in 2009, which resulted in jail about 60 members of the clan, was in fact Squaderno is the commercial organization that the military logistics. The police are trimming blows not only to the low manpower - drug dealers, lookouts, killer - but also so-called "white collar", the leaders, the values \u200b\u200bgrandchildren. And what you see with the arrest today of Caesar Pagano, not just a racketeer but a real mafia
At the time of Cosimo Di Lauro, son of Paul, all the TV news showed on the one hand images of the angry mob against the police, the other the fireworks display in the breakaway party. It seemed that no one from the same state. It 's so?
The Neapolitans do not all cheer for the Camorra, no. E 'rather widespread desire to breathe the free air of free men. But they can only be the police to fight such a war. Beppe Pisanu said how long ago the mafia offers "bread and butter," wages per month € 10 thousand, 300 thousand bonus. In the face of everything that is not enough of a military conflict. That the state must offer an alternative to young people. And you have to constantly show them a choice of law is preferable to the miserable lives of living, false gold, so many people who end their lives in 30 years buried under tons of concrete prison, or worse, in a

Il terzo livello dei Casalesi

Il demanio della "camorra spa"
In the belly of Commons to Campania and Naples, in particular, there is everything: shops, villas, apartments, mezzanines, basements and garages. It is the "Estate of the spa mafia" that the state has ripped from the clutches of killers, drug pushers and drug traffickers after a long and troubled gestation in the courtroom, where people who have never worked and that does not know what the word 'tax return 'has been found to justify (often unsuccessfully) the ownership of summer homes and buildings in winter, Housing hundreds of square meters and super penthouses that overlook degraded neighborhoods and streets covered with garbage and syringes.
Treasures now almost forgotten, that should be earmarked for social activities but, unfortunately, restless sleep the sleep of abandonment in the drawers of bureaucrats and politicians, because there is no money for renovations and it is much easier to promise that maintain.
"The last survey, conducted with the Department of Legality, Luigi Scotti, speaks of 43 confiscated goods available in town," says Sandro Fucito, chairman of the Legality of the City Council of Naples, "but in the last four anni, a voler essere generosi, ci sono state sì e no dieci assegnazioni definitive.
«Aggredire i patrimoni è la chiave di volta per demolire the power of the Camorra, "says the deputy prosecutor Pennasilico Alexander, coordinator of the Naples anti-mafia," even if it is necessary not to abandon these assets to their fate, because the risk is that the message that the Camorra has a capacity of more efficient management of that of the State. Only three have been reused for social purposes, despite a thousand difficulties. The rest is up to moisture and rot of memories stained with blood and violence.
And where it seems that the destination has been identified and resolved (almost) every problem, there's the delay of Public Administration to complicate everything, as in the case of the former smuggler Michele Zaza Hollywood villa in Posillipo, that after five years still expects to become the new home of the local police station, due to a number of non-authorization.
not enough, of course, the money earmarked by the Regione Campania and those supplied by the funds of the security plan to put everything in place: over the past five years, 1276 to property confiscated, have been restored only 35 (only 2 per cent) with a total expenditure of € 11 million and a half. Which, in November 2009, the junta had promised the then governor Antonio Bassolino additional financing would be accompanied by further 150 million, which - until now - has been diluted in the 'sea monster' good intentions. At Herculaneum, a courageous group of university students has created "Radio Siani," a web radio station that deals with law, seized from an apartment in the ward boss, where is still easy to run into secret passages and hiding places where time were fugitives and hospitality of drugs or weapons. "When we go to the bar nearby, the Camorra still look at us like aliens," confides one of the boys, "but now we do not even notice it."
The last debate on the issue of property confiscated from organized crime revolves around the proposal to sell at auction, with the risk - lawyers and economists share - that the sponsors can repurchase them through men of faith, thus reaffirming their power and prestige in the eyes of its affiliates and demonstrations, in fact, above the law.

E la camorra va nel pallone
The latest move was the seizure of the company: for anticamorra pm in Naples, "Giugliano football 'is controlled by powerful clans Mallard, who uses it as a" screen "for the collection of lace and accreditation, in the eyes of citizens and the people of fans, as a 'system of power' than the legal alternative. The club, crashed within three years from C2 to Group A of the regional championship of 'Excellence', was kept alive with the extortion of money to entrepreneurs and traders hinterland north of Naples decided by the boss Joseph Dell ' Aquila (included in the list of the hundred most dangerous fugitives in Italy), as told by the repentant Gaetano Vassallo, a former "minister of the environment 'Casalesi:" The gathering of the advertising was done by a company controlled by a person of Eagle Trust, which "made the rounds" of all the shopkeepers in the area requires them to contribute to the sponsorship of the football team. " To prevent the investigation, added the collaborator with justice, the publicist released even the bill's sponsor, "deductible for tax purposes, so as to limit the damage to the company, but also to formally regulate the release of money by society and not create a "black". " The pieces that have made it clear it was collusion scenario, however, intercepted conversations between the brother and the chairman of the Eagle "Giugliano football ', Filippo Di Nardo, indicted on charges of being the nominee thigh, and calls alarmed victims of the racket reminiscent of the local underworld to kapo "to be in order with the rate."
"It is the pursuit of social consensus that drives the criminal groups to invest in football," said deputy prosecutor in the Panorama Pennasilico Alexander, coordinator of the DDA in Naples. 'The control of such a powerful tool used to maintain and strengthen its leadership in the territory and prove superior to rivals'. The connection between the ball and land mafia is full of surprises for investigators: a few weeks ago, was found in the hideout of a fugitive from a photo of a dangerous drug dealer Secondigliano el'ignaro midfielder del Napoli, Marek Hamsik.
Especially in the lower divisions, the level of contamination is alarming, not least because of money turning around calcioscommesse, which are still open more lines of inquiry.
The latest surveys reveal something else, however: that the Camorra, when it can not contaminate the corporate structure of a football team, cheering on organized retreats. He explains in this unpublished report, the repentant Prestieri Maurizio: "Typhus is always an expression of organized crime and this is evidenced by the display of the banners." The "fedayeen" were always the most aggressive and quarrelsome. The group "Mastiff" I understand to be affiliated and Licciardi said is confirmed by the symbol of this group, the head of a dog, a symbol equal to that enjoyed by almost all young tattooed Masseria Cardone. Green Mucas In With Period
Sequestro record ai Casalesi
The man who transformed the Casalesi gang of thugs from holding a provincial economic and criminal interests with legal and illegal in every part ' Italy, died within weeks of the decision process, "Spartacus," mysteriously falling from a terrace with no fences. A tragedy for the family, a fortune to the clan, with his providential death, saved the treasure entrusted to him under management. Yesterday, the assets of Dante Passarelli again finished seized in an investigation that anti-mafia Interior Minister Roberto Maroni, has not hesitated to describe as "the largest operation ever undertaken in the history of the Italian Republic." An empire assessed (and the estimate is conservative, say the investigators) over 700 million euro, which in 2004 had already been arrested, only to be restored to the children dell’ex riciclatore perché, secondo la legislazione dell’epoca, la confisca dei beni era comunque legata alla condanna del soggetto colpito dal provvedimento cautelare.
"It's true.
«Il suo legame con le organizzazioni del Casertano inizia già dagli anni Ottanta, con il boss Antonio Bardellino, e successivamente is strengthened by the rise of the winning group of Casal di Principe, at the same point that it becomes a target "sensitive" by the rival organizations, who saw in him the "mastermind" of money laundering and extortion from the drug trafficking el'artefice the extraordinary financial strength of Casale. "
